Currently, training involves developing approved supervision programs available for clinicians. These will be offered in retreat or classroom-style settings.
Currently, the Assuage retreat program is being developed as part of a collective with outside agencies to bridge inclusion and integration for the community at large.
Integrative teams can make a world of difference.

Service 1
Counseling
Counseling is considered a form of therapy in which the client and therapist engage in the process of transformational change in their readiness. It happens together, giving the therapeutic relationship meaning and safety.
Typical Care Settings:
• Individual, couples, and group settings are provided.
•Approaches vary based on a therapeutic fit and preference.
Supervision
Supervision begins with a mutually agreed-upon contract, like in client care, as the supervisor eloquently shapes client care through an isomorphic process of change aligned with the supervisees' approaches and readiness, and client goals and preferences. Together, client care becomes
• More diversified
• Grounded in their own culture, and
• Builds critical language to help clients adapt to their preferred outcomes.
Consultation
Clinical consultation concerns a scope of practice, designed to hinge community doorways where client care and business-related clinical programs can be accessed. Risks are identified and assessed. Clinicians are trained.
In general, there is a need to update programs and services to best suit the needs of the community and calls for action in the research.

Counselor Education and Supervision

Leadership & Advocacy
Leadership and advocacy are fundamental to a practicing counselor, to any profession or professional identity. As professionals and leaders, counselors optimize growth opportunities and experiences in the field to strengthen the discipline. I was fortunate enough to engage in behind-the-scenes work for CACREP accreditation and the university's coursework building. Serving on the CACREP team, we passed our annual interview and prepared the associate dean to present the results, while rubric-building supported course management and student learning outcomes. CACREP is specific to counseling-related programs at the national level. I graduated with a master's in clinical mental health counseling and will complete a PhD in counselor education and supervision under CACREP endorsement.
Clinical Supervision
I have supervised students in coursework applications, skills-enhancement labs, a group leadership lab, and skills-coaching plans at the university level. Community peer supervision is also included. My supervision style includes neuro-informed, trauma-informed, and leadership-based approaches. Supervision formats utilize individual, triadic, and group in-person, telesupervision, and cybersupervision platforms. Part of my passion is working individually and in large groups to support supervision integration and inclusion.
Training & Consultation
One of my passions in my counseling consultation role is to provide assuaging experiences through client care, training, and supervision, especially retreats. My current focus is on developing an approved supervision training endorsing isomorphic practices in gender-affirming care. Continuing education is a critical necessity to support relevant, current care and supervision. Not only is this part of my private practice, but it is also the passion behind my research and dissertation. Consultation begins with a conversation, goal setting, and a program review, kinda like a technical audit, even including the math behind the program or organization - for optimization!
Teaching &
Higher Education
As an educator at the university endorsing my dissertation, I have taught master's-level courses in counseling supervision, the medical and psychological aspects of disability, and foundational courses for becoming a clinical mental health counselor and a school counselor (K-12). My favorite moments in these opportunities included seeing the academic and professional identity growth and refinement of students who placed their trust in my abilities and the experiences I shared.
Clinical Counseling
Not only can trauma- and neuro-informed counseling approaches be critical to meeting client needs, but so can gender-affirming care. As a trauma-focused counselor, I strive to be sensitive and understanding, engaging in important curiosity to ensure client care leads to client goal outcomes. I am trained to administer the ADOS-2 and other large-scale assessments. Group work has consisted of PEERS integration with neurodivergent teens and adults (SARRC), combat veterans (Phx Vet Center), substance abuse treatment (Utah Co. ADAPT), family dynamics, men's issues (Utah Co. ADAPT), counseling leadership (higher education), and dissertation support. I serve as a nationally certified counselor in the U.S.
