Specific evidence-based approaches may be recommended for treating traumatic stress (i.e., EMDR, guided narrative prolonged exposure therapy, stress reduction, spirituality [finding meaning], dialectical behavior therapy, self-regulation, meditation [e.g., DFM], and other somatic or body-focused therapies).
